Windsurf Trailer       

 

 
This trailer is similar to one built by Hans Anderson.  In this case, I extended the rear of the frame by fitting trimmed 2x4's in the channel and a triangle on top of the frame in front instead of building up a complete floor frame on top of the trailer.

Extend deck 4' with pressure treated studs in front and rear to support deck for 12' total length.

1/2" pressure treated deck over frame.

2x4's on edge for framing sides sides.

1/2" CDX for ceiling.

3/16" ths luan interior.

All interior screws counter sunk to prevent snagging.

Interior sealed with Thompson's water seal.

12' steel roofing for exterior.

The roofing is bent over the edges to create a seamless edge.

For added protection, edges under steel roofing are covered with adhesive roofing membrane.

 
Rabbeted pressure treated decking for corners and edges over roofing.
Vent in door.
Outdoor carpeting to slide boards.

Adjustable shelving interior.

Holds

4 boards on edge.

6 sails on shelf and on boards.

4 masts.

5 booms.

2 boxes in rear for fins, parts, wetsuits, etc.
